ASME Field Code Welder $27-$34/HR
Now seeking ASME Shop Code Welders in the Export, PA Area. We are looking for Welders familiar with the ASME code processes that have previous experience in an ASME shop or field work. Weld test required
ASME Code Welder Responsibilities:
- Performs welding processes on Carbon & Stainless steel and other metals’ parts using welding metals and metal alloys.
- Weld Carbon with SMAW / Stainless with TIG
- Weld according to ASME Section VIII & ASME Section XI
- Reading blueprints
- Welds parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Building of vessels and heat exchangers according to to print
- Under general supervision, uses hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as gas welders, and gas torches to weld together metal components (flat, horizontal, or vertical plates and pipes).
- Works from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions
ASME Code Welder Requirements:
- Must Pass Standard Carbon GTAW (TIG) will be on 2 ½” NPS pipe, sch. 80 .276” thickness in the 6G position
- Must Pass: Standard Stainless Steel GTAW (TIG) with filler will be on 2 ½” NPS pipe, sch. 80 .276” thickness in the 6G position (308 wire)
- Standard Carbon Steel SMAW (stick) with filler will be on 2 ½” NPS pipe, sch. 80 .276” thickness in the 6G position (6010 root/7018 filler).
- Sanitary Stainless is a big plus
- 3-5 years of verifiable experience
- Reliable transportation to and from job site
- Drivers license Required
- Drug screen and background check required
