BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – SKILLED TRADES STAFFING (NEW BUSINESS HUNTER)

Aggressively prospect and develop new skilled trades staffing business within commercial construction, industrial, and manufacturing markets

  • Identify, engage, and schedule meetings with decision makers through cold calling, in-person visits, networking, and strategic follow-up
  • Own and expand an assigned territory with a primary focus on opening new accounts, while also growing revenue with active clients
  • Lead discovery conversations to uncover contractors’ current and future manpower needs, positioning staffing solutions as a competitive advantage
  • Apply a consultative, value-driven sales approach to recommend customized workforce solutions aligned with client goals
  • Execute a proven sales cycle and methodology (Counselor Sales Process / CSP) to close new business, secure Client Service Agreements (CSAs), and build long-term partnerships
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients from first meeting through ongoing service delivery
  • Collaborate closely with recruiting and operations teams to ensure orders are filled, expectations are exceeded, and service levels remain elite
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly revenue and gross profit goals
  • Achieve or surpass monthly CSA targets through disciplined pipeline management and follow-up

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – SKILLED TRADES STAFFING (NEW BUSINESS HUNTER) QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma (Bachelor’s degree a plus, not required)
  • True hunter mentality: competitive, aggressive, proactive, resilient, and driven by results
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage a full sales pipeline
  • 3+ years of B2B consultative sales experience (staffing, construction, industrial, or manufacturing strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated success opening new accounts rather than managing existing ones
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience managing the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and discovery to negotiation and close
  • Comfortable selling into mid-size and large corporate environments with multiple decision makers
  • Ability to build trust-based, long-term partnerships through value, execution, and follow-through
  • Strong lead generation and territory development skills with the discipline to prioritize high-value opportunities
  • Confident, solution-oriented negotiator who understands long-term relationship value
