Job Title: Commercial Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 20–25 hours per week
Compensation: $25–$28 per hour

Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Maintenance Technician to support multiple commercial properties within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for delivering efficient, high-quality maintenance services while maintaining strong, professional relationships with customers.
The ideal candidate is experienced in multiple trades, comfortable working independently, and committed to maintaining facilities in excellent condition. A company vehicle and tools are provided, and daily local travel between properties is required.
Complete preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance per assigned work orders
Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency service, and asset inspections
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulations
Plumbing: Minor repairs including unclogging toilets and urinals, replacing faucet fixtures and valve assemblies, servicing automatic flush sensors, and related maintenance
Electrical: Minor electrical repairs within state law allowances (fixture replacements, switches, outlets, bulbs, ballasts, sockets)
Carpentry & General Repairs: Drywall repair, door and floor maintenance, painting, and touch-up work to maintain a like-new facility appearance
Mechanical Systems: Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed
Use tablet or smartphone to:
Access and complete work orders with detailed service notes
Submit service reports, quality inspection photos, and documentation
Record timesheets, expense reports, and purchasing logs
Maintain accurate and timely communication through designated business systems
Foster positive, professional relationships with clients
Maintain consistent communication with customers and internal support teams
Provide estimates for larger repair projects when required
Comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies
Attend weekly safety meetings and complete required training
Ensure all work meets applicable codes and regulations
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Trade certification or formal training in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Landscaping, or Specialty Floor Care preferred
2–5 years of general maintenance experience required
Experience in minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building systems maintenance
Commercial property maintenance experience highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned work orders
Valid driver’s license in good standing required
Applicable trade certifications or licenses preferred
Proficiency with handheld devices and work order management systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook
Ability to read and interpret safety policies, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel locally between properties daily
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high workmanship standards
Ability to obtain necessary materials and supplies to complete assigned tasks
