Ironworker / Welder
Job Title: Ironworker/Welder
Location: Fairport Harbor, with potential assignments on other projects (Locals Only)
Responsibilities:
- Rig steel, bolt-up steel, and weld connections.
- Utilize plasma cutting equipment to precisely cut steel components to required specifications.
- Assemble and install structural steel components, including beams, columns, and girders.
- Weld, solder, or bolt steel components together to ensure structural integrity.
- Utilize various tools and equipment, such as cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment, to erect steel structures safely.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and project documentation to determine layout and dimensions of structures.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to identify and address any defects or issues.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as an Ironworker/Welder or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in stick welding (7018) in 4 positions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Possession of necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, and steel toe boots.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Ironworker/Welder Compensation/Benefits:
- $32.00 to $35 an/hr
