Ironworkers/Structural Steel Erectors $28-$30/HR
Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring LOCAL Ironworkers for a compressor station project in New Lexington, OH starting asap. You’ll be responsible for assembling, installing and welding pre -engineered and regular structural steel components in accordance with blueprints and project specifications. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Must pass drug test and background check. PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots and fire-retardant clothing required. Mon-Sat 7am-530p. **No per diem available
Ironworker Responsibilities:
- Rig and bolt-up steel
- Utilize plasma cutting equipment to precisely cut steel components to required specifications.
- Assemble and install structural steel components, including beams, columns, and girders.
- Weld, solder, or bolt steel components together to ensure structural integrity.
- Utilize various tools and equipment, such as cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment, to erect steel structures safely.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and project documentation to determine layout and dimensions of structures.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to identify and address any defects or issues.
Ironworker Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience as an Ironworker
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Must live locally to the New Lexington area
Ironworker/Welder Compensation/Benefits:
- $28-$30/hr BOE
- Working 6/10s so guaranteed OT
