Journeyman Electrician $25-$35/HR
Summit Skilled Solutions is currently hiring skilled and dedicated Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.
Commercial Journeyman Electrician Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Work on low voltage systems and ensure proper functionality of all electrical components.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Perform renovations that require electrical work, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter and logic controllers.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards.
Commercial Journeyman Electrician Skills
- Proficiency in low voltage electrical systems and installations.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Familiarity with frame carpentry as it relates to electrical installations is a plus.
- Ability to operate various power tools safely and efficiently.
- Experience in renovation projects requiring electrical expertise.
- General maintenance person skills are advantageous for addressing diverse tasks on-site.
- Previous experience as a commercial electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
Commercial Journeyman Electrician Compensation/Benefits
- $25 to $35/hr BOE
- Full-time, 40 hours a week
