Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Summary
Summit Skilled Solutions is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support facility operations. This individual will report directly to the Site Lead and play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general facility maintenance, routine inspections, and minor repairs across multiple systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and HVAC maintenance, along with a strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens, possess a valid driver’s license, and have 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with the Site Lead to assess and prioritize service needs
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors performing on-site work
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including walls, floors, doors, ceilings, and furniture
- Complete painting and touch-up work to maintain facility appearance (interior and exterior)
- Execute plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains, servicing toilets and urinals, and maintaining valve assemblies and automatic flush systems
- Adhere to a strict preventative maintenance (PM) schedule, including inspections of:
- Fire extinguishers
- Emergency lighting
- Eye wash stations
- Building interior and exterior conditions
- Perimeter areas and grounds
- Respond to and complete corrective maintenance work orders in a timely manner
- Operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, tractors) and assist with snow removal as needed
- Support skilled trades personnel on projects as required
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance or related field
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
Skills & Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in general maintenance tasks across multiple trades
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, including filter changes and coil cleaning
- Ability to perform minor electrical repairs (lighting, ballasts, switches, outlets) and troubleshoot using electrical testing equipment
- Strong plumbing capabilities, including fixture repair and system maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals
- Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and communication
- Strong organizational skills to maintain maintenance records and reports
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities

- Ability to maintain a structured preventative maintenance schedule
- Willingness to perform both indoor and outdoor work, including grounds maintenance and snow removal
