Mason Tender – $20-$25/HR
Position Overview
Summit Skilled Solutions is actively hiring Mason Tenders to support an active commercial masonry project in Cleveland. This is a hands-on role working directly with the onsite foreman to support bricklayers and keep the job moving efficiently. The ideal candidate brings reliability, physical stamina, basic construction knowledge, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and dismantle scaffolding safely and efficiently
- Mix mortar to proper consistency
- Stock scaffold with brick, block, and materials
- Move material across the job site (brick, block, mortar, equipment)
- Perform cutting, handling, and cleanup duties as assigned
- Assist masons throughout the workday
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Accurately record work hours on S3 timecards and secure weekly foreman signatures
- Follow all site safety standards and directions from the foreman
Preferred Skills / Bonus Qualifications
- Ability to operate:
- Forklifts
- Rough terrain lifts (telehandler / lull)
Requirements
- Must pass a 5-panel drug screen (drug-free work environment)
- Work boots, long sleeves, gloves, high-visibility vest, and hard hat required
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to work outdoors and in variable weather
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
- Must show up on time daily and follow crew direction
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Occasional Saturday work if the project is behind schedule
- Weekly timecards must be submitted and signed by foreman
