Job description
Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring a skilled and experienced Brick and Block Mason for a commercial building project in Valley View, OH.
You will be responsible for performing various masonry tasks, including grinding, cutting and laying brick and block.
Brick and Block Mason Duties:
- Cut and shape masonry materials using hand tools and power equipment as necessary.
- Lay block and stone according to established patterns and designs, ensuring alignment, levelness, and structural integrity.
- Apply weatherproofing and sealing treatments to protect masonry surfaces from moisture and other environmental factors.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and functional condition.
- Build scaffolding and lay bricks and block for masonry structures above ground level
Brick and Block Mason Qualifications:
– At least 5 years’ experience laying brick, block, and/or stone
– Familiarity with concrete forming and finishing techniques
– Strong knowledge of different types of materials used in masonry work
– Ability to work independently or as part of a team
– Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting
