Millwright/Welder/Rigger $30-$32/HR
Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring experienced Millwright/Welders/Riggers for a project in Whitehall, PA starting Mon Jan 27th. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of field experience working as a Millwright/Welder/Rigger. To be considered you MUST have your valid MSHA 46 in your possession. Must have all own PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, high-vis vest, steel toe boots and harness with lanyard.
Millwright/Welder/Rigger Qualifications
- 5+ years of verifiable field experience as a millwright
- Valid MSHA 46 in your possession REQUIRED. No exceptions
- Experienced with stick welding on structural steel
- Experience working on mining equipment PREFERRED
- Ability to rig equipment to a forklift to be moved
- Must be able to pass BGC and drug test
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Millwright/Welder/Rigger Duties
- Install, dismantle, and move mining equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
- Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs
- Stick welding
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and repair or replace defective parts
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Operate forklift or versa lift
Millwright/Welder/Rigger Compensation/Benefits
- $30-$32/hr BOE
- $100/day per diem
- 50 hours/wk to start, most likely ramp up to 70 hours/wk
