Millwright / Welder
Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring Welder/Millwrights to perform industrial maintenance in steel mills in the Indianapolis area.
Welder/Millwright Duties:
- Perform industrial millwright maintenance in a steel mill
- Changing out cylinders and rolls
- Making hose for hydraulics
- Experience cutting steel using acetylene or propylene torches.
- Lots of welding
- Other duties as needed to keep a steel mill running
Welder/Millwright Qualifications
- 4+ years of welding experience
- Some steel mill maintenance preferred
- MUST have PPE hand tools including sockets/wrenches up to 1 1/4″
- Reliable transportation to and from job site
- OSHA 10 is a plus but not a requirement
- Welding certification preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass a drug test
Welder/Millwright Compensation/Benefits
- $28-$30/hr BOE
- $75/day per diem for travelers
- M-F 40 hours a week
- Potential for OT
- Weekly pay
- PTO/holidays
- Medical/dental
