Job Overview:
As a Structural Steel & Fabrication Estimator/Project Manager, you will be a key player in analyzing project requirements, preparing precise cost estimates, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget. Your construction estimating expertise and proficiency with construction management software are critical to the role.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in Structural Steel & Fabrication.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with AutoCAD and other 3-D modeling software.
- Skills: High level of problem-solving and a desire to improve current processes.
- Customer Interaction: Strong ability to interact with customers and manage expectations effectively.
Duties:
- Project Management: Daily management of assigned projects from inception to completion, including estimating, creating and managing manufacturing plans, and overseeing materials management.
- Quoting: Gather information and prepare quotes, which may involve site visits and measurements.
- Vendor Coordination: Obtain pricing and lead times from vendors during the quote/job stage.
- Collaboration: Work with vendors, shop, and customers to develop project timelines.
- Project Kickoff: Create routers to be released to the shop floor.
- Reporting: Provide regular status updates on project progress.
- Procurement: Manage procurement of materials.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting Salary: $70,000 to $85,000.00
