Senior Project Manager: $100,000 – $125,000 annually
(Compensation based on experience, leadership scope, and project portfolio size)
Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking a highly capable Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position holds full responsibility for assigned projects, including schedule development, financial performance, staff leadership, risk management, and client coordination.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, financial acumen, construction expertise, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while driving projects to successful completion.
Maintain complete knowledge of all project drawings, specifications, prime contracts, and subcontract agreements.
Develop, supervise, and actively monitor project schedules, ensuring effective coordination between field and administrative operations.
Establish and maintain project communication systems, including oversight of engineering logs, submittals, shop drawings, manuals, and related documentation.
Assume full responsibility for project cost management, including direct costs, general conditions tracking, profitability reporting, and coordination with executive leadership.
Organize, schedule, and lead weekly coordination meetings and required owner meetings.
Develop and enforce comprehensive project safety plans, conducting regular safety meetings in alignment with jobsite requirements.
Schedule and supervise company field personnel while monitoring labor productivity and cost performance.
Train, mentor, and evaluate assigned staff; delegate responsibilities in accordance with team members’ experience and capabilities.
Prepare and submit monthly operational reports outlining project progress, engineering status, financial condition, and projected outcomes.
Support preconstruction efforts by assisting with schedules, estimates, lump sum bids, budgets, and construction planning for new project pursuits.
Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices and applications for payment; coordinate with accounting on preparation of owner billings.
Participate in bid review and scope analysis during project buyout.
Assist accounting with accounts receivable collection as needed.
Oversee and manage administrative processes to protect company interests while maintaining strong professional relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
Implement and manage project closeout procedures, including warranty documentation, final payments, acceptance of work, and record retention.
Minimum of four years of formal engineering or architectural training and at least five years of building construction experience; additional leadership experience preferred for Senior-level consideration.
Strong knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, engineering principles, and purchasing practices.
Comprehensive understanding of construction means and methods, materials, tolerances, limitations, and building systems.
Experience with project cost control systems and construction accounting practices.
Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling platforms.
Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication, delegation, and staff development skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining profitability, quality, and safety standards.
