Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (6 months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Weekends typically off)
Pay Rate: $38–$44/hour

Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Superintendent to support a long-term project in the Pittsburgh market. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for permanent placement and career growth.
Position Summary
The Superintendent will oversee field operations for a security-focused construction project involving parking and controlled-access infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong coordination skills, the ability to read construction documents, and experience managing subcontractors. The individual hired will play a key role in supporting market expansion in the Pittsburgh area.
Project Scope

Installation of parking lot entry gates

Key card readers and controlled security entry systems
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily on-site construction activities

Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Coordinate and manage subcontractors and vendors

Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards

Communicate effectively with internal teams and leadership

Maintain compliance with project-specific safety and security requirements
Required Qualifications
-
Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar leadership role

Ability to read and interpret construction prints

Local to the Pittsburgh, PA area (no relocation or per diem)

Ability to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screening
Preferred Qualifications

Basic knowledge of controls or light electrical systems (e.g., key card readers)

Established relationships with subcontractors in the Pittsburgh area

Experience on security-sensitive or regulated sites
