Welder/Fitter/Rigger $33-$34/HR $130/day PD
Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring structural Welder/Fitter/Riggers proficient in mig welding for a 3-week power plant shutdown in Hudson Falls, NY starting Tuesday April 22nd (through May 10th). Additional stick welding experience is a HUGE PLUS! Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of field welding/fitting experience on structural steel. Qualified candidates MUST also have SOME rigging experience. This job requires you wear a half-face respirator and Tyvex suit (both provided).
Welder/Fitter/Rigger Qualifications
- 5+ years of verifiable field welding experience
- Proficient with mig/stick welding on structural steel
- Must be an experienced fitter
- Documented rigging experience preferred
- Must pass drug test and blood alcohol test day 1
- Must wear the provided Tyvex suit and half face respirator
- Must be clean shaven (other than mustache) for respirator fit test
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Welder/Fitter/Rigger Duties
- Mig/stick welding
- Fitting structural steel plates
- Rigging structural steel
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Welder/Fitter/Rigger Compensation/Benefits
- $33/hr for days 7a-7p
- $34/hr for nights 7p-7a
- $130/day per diem
- $180 travel pay
- Working 7/12s so 44 hours of overtime/wk
