Position: Welding Supervisor

Welding Supervisor Key Responsibilities

Supervise and schedule daily welding operations to meet production targets.
Mentor, train, and evaluate welders to ensure skill development and performance.
Conduct weld quality inspections and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
Manage inventory and maintenance of welding equipment and supplies.
Enforce workplace safety protocols and conduct regular safety training.
Drive process improvements and track labor efficiencies.
Identify and document non-conformances.

Welding Supervisor Requirements

5+ years of hands-on welding experience in fabrication.
2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications like AWS CWI preferred).
Advanced skills in MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding.
Strong ability to interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work to code requirements.
Effective leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel/Word.
Solid understanding of workplace safety standards and OSHA regulations.
