The One Word Challenge is a New Year’s alternative to making resolutions that involves choosing a word to focus on for the year. Instead of making a list of goals, you pick one word that represents what you want to do, feel, or be in the coming year. The word acts as a guide and filter to help you grow throughout the year.
Transparency – Jason
I want to create an environment that ensures everybody is comfortable in being honest, vulnerable and clear with one another. Achieving a consistent level of trust while establishing a pattern to listen more, say less and follow through.
If we can achieve this at a high level of consistency with each other then it will also be extremely clear to our field employees, prospects, clients, friends, family, etc. LISTEN MORE – SAY LESS – FOLLOW THROUGH.
Mindfulness – Kim
Always keep an open mind. To be mindful is to observe thoughts, feelings, sensations. Mindfulness can therefore be a tool to avoid self-criticism and judgment while identifying and managing difficult emotions.
Consistency – Chris
Consistency you can count on.
Positivity – John
In our business there are a lot of variables that can affect certain outcomes. Not dwelling on negative outcomes and staying positive is important.
Adaptability – Justin
Being able to adjust to the changes in the industry with employees, clients needs and the different routes to be successful.
Relentlessness – Larry
The very definition of “driving force”. Being relentless in every phase of your business (and life) will get you to and beyond your goals. This is a step beyond determination, and you have to be addicted to the results. You will never see the results unless you adopt this principle into your regimen. Relentless in driving and developing current business. Relentless in finding new business. Relentless with filling orders. Relentless in finding the right candidates.
Resolute – Dave H.
Resolute ~ purposeful, determined, and unwavering in an admirable way.
Committed – Kent
Set goals, plan the changes, stay committed daily both personally and professionally.
Consistency – Bob
Consistency is important in all areas of the workplace.
Balance – Matt
I want to always be fair and reasonable in all aspects of life and as you all hopefully know by now I am a firm believer in work life and personal life balance. Our business and all your pockets are obviously very important, however all work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy. Relationships, communication and moderation are the key to life.
Resiliency – Matt
To be successful in anything you must have resilience. “Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, and work around it.” Michael Jordan
Optimism – Dave R.
There is a LOT to look forward to in 2025, and I think everything is looking up. The quest for $10m here at S3, a positive overall economic Outlook, the country moving in the right direction. I think it’s important to try and stay positive and look forward to our company being a part of that.
