ASME Code Welder / Pipe Welder – Shop $25 – $30
We are currently hiring experienced ASME Code Welders with a strong background in pipe and vessel welding within a fabrication shop environment. This role involves welding, fitting, and fabricating complex components while maintaining strict compliance with ASME standards and procedures.
ASME Code Welder Responsibilities:
- Weld and fabricate complex components, pressure vessels, and structural assemblies in accordance with ASME code requirements
- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
- Perform SMAW welding on carbon steel and GTAW/TIG welding on stainless steel materials
- Follow ASME Section VIII and Section IX welding procedures and specifications
- Ensure weld quality, accuracy, and adherence to established welding standards
- Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Complete inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets company and industry standards
ASME Code Welder Requirements:
- Must be able to pass:
- 6G SMAW test on 2 1/2″ Carbon Steel / .276″ Wall
- 6G GTAW test on 2″ Stainless Steel / .218″ Wall
- Experience with sanitary stainless welding is highly preferred
- 3–5 years of verifiable welding experience required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
