Blanchard Grinder Operator – $18–$25/Hour
Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring 1–2 Blanchard Grinder Operators for a full-time opportunity with an established industrial grinding and machine shop operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced grinder who can step in and contribute immediately, as well as motivated machine shop professionals who are eager to learn. Training is available for the right candidate.
Pay
$18.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level
Job Responsibilities

Operate Blanchard grinding equipment to grind and finish steel parts

Perform manual steel grinding and material preparation

Use hand tools and turn wrenches as needed

Read measurements and perform basic shop math
-
Safely operate jib cranes and overhead lifting equipment

Lift, position, and flip large/heavy parts
-
Inspect parts and ensure they meet specifications
-
Perform routine machine cleaning and maintenance
-
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Learn new processes and equipment as needed
Qualifications
Blanchard grinding experience is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
Ideal candidates will have:

Previous machine shop experience

Blanchard grinding experience preferred
-
Manual grinding or surface grinding experience

Experience working with steel
-
Comfortable using hand tools and wrenches

Basic math and measurement skills

Experience with jib cranes or overhead cranes preferred

Ability to safely handle and flip large/heavy parts

Strong mechanical aptitude

Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule
Choose from one of two schedules:
Option 1: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Option 2: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
