Location: Mobile, AL
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 1st Shift
Compensation: $30 – $34 per hour
Position Overview
Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrician to support a large industrial facility in the Mobile, Alabama area. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical distribution systems, automation controls, lighting systems, and facility equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting abilities, experience working with industrial electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and connect power supply wiring, conduit, lighting systems, equipment, and electrical devices.
- Troubleshoot and support production controls and automation systems.
- Diagnose and repair transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and lighting systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems including:
- 277/480V, 3-Phase, 4-Wire Systems
- 120/208V, 3-Phase, 4-Wire Systems
- 120/240V Single-Phase Systems
- Replace and repair electrical and electronic components including relays, contactors, control devices, and printed circuit boards.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on building lighting, parking lot lighting, emergency lighting, exit signs, outlets, photo eyes, and lighting control systems.
- Plan and install wiring, conduit, and electrical equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment operating at 480 volts and below.
- Complete required maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain tools, testing equipment, inventory, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Support additional facility maintenance activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education & Training
- Successful completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related electrical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, facilities, or commercial environment.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Certifications & Licenses
- Valid driver's license required.
- Applicable electrical certifications or licenses preferred.
