Facility Specialist
Position Summary
A classical Christian school in Northeast Ohio is seeking a qualified Facilities Specialist to support daily campus operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates a vibrant Christian testimony, reflecting a personal, active, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. This individual must fully support the school’s Statement of Faith and embrace the mission of cultivating lifelong learners who think and live for Christ.
The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, and general trades, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to serve faculty, staff, students, and families with excellence and Christ-like professionalism.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Full support of the school’s Statement of Faith, Mission, and Vision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook.
- Degree preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in facilities maintenance, skilled trades, or handyman services.
- Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with staff, volunteers, and outside vendors.
- Primary work location at the Peninsula Campus, with occasional responsibilities at the Pepper Pike Campus.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and fire systems preferred.
- Ability to respond effectively to unexpected repairs and emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct oneself with Christ-like professionalism in all interactions.
- Perform routine daily inspections of buildings and grounds before and after school hours.
- Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
- Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance across campus facilities.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party service providers (janitorial, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, sanitation, etc.).
- Organize and supervise volunteers for campus improvement projects.
- Support faculty and staff by assisting with classroom needs, event setup, and event breakdown.
- Monitor facility and grounds cleanliness to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Track maintenance inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Assist with campus safety operations, including traffic flow, parking, alarm systems, surveillance, and safety compliance.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to support overall campus operations.
