Compensation: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support commercial facilities within an assigned geographic territory in Lakewood, CO. This position is responsible for the effective, efficient, and timely delivery of HVAC and general building maintenance services across multiple customer sites.
Technicians are provided a company van, tools, and mobile technology and will perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, as well as minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general facility repairs. This role requires strong technical expertise, professionalism, and the ability to build positive working relationships with customers and internal teams.
Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance on standard package and split HVAC systems in light commercial environments, including inspection and repair or replacement of belts, pulleys, motors, compressors, and safety controls
Inspect, clean, and maintain condensate drain lines and airflow systems
Diagnose and repair steam and hot water boiler systems, including airflow and ducting issues
Safely handle and utilize refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and system failures on commercial HVAC equipment, including compressors, contactors, circuit boards, condensing units, and copper components (including brazing)
Complete all preventative maintenance and repair tasks per work order requirements, safety standards, and company procedures
Perform minor plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains and toilets, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures as needed
Perform routine painting, drywall repair, and carpentry work to maintain facilities in like-new condition
Perform minor electrical maintenance as permitted by state law, including fixtures, switches, outlets, ballasts, and lamps
Conduct service and asset inspections as required
Utilize mobile technology to access work orders, document services performed, and submit service reports, inspection photos, timesheets, and expense documentation
Maintain professional and timely communication with customers, vendors, and internal support teams
Participate in required safety and compliance training, safety meetings, and on-call rotation
Provide estimates for recommended repairs or larger maintenance projects
Perform additional duties as assigned
High School Diploma, technical degree, certification, or equivalent professional experience preferred
Minimum of 5 years of HVAC and general maintenance experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Completion of a 2-year HVAC technical program or possession of a state-approved HVAC license
Experience servicing commercial or industrial HVAC systems
EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification required
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
