Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join a growing facilities maintenance team. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations on commercial and industrial HVAC systems across customer facilities.
The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, experience servicing a wide variety of HVAC equipment, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems.
Service and maintain:
Air Handling Units (AHUs)
Air Conditioning Units (ACUs)
Heat Pumps
Variable Air Volume (VAV) Systems
Direct Digital Controls (DDC)
Ventilation Systems
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS).
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and equipment manuals.
Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, leak detection, and brazing.
Inspect, test, and document system performance.
Maintain accurate service reports, operating logs, refrigerant records, and preventative maintenance documentation.
Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions.
Order parts and maintain inventory of filters, belts, refrigerants, and critical service components.
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in safe working condition.
Assist with major equipment repairs and facility maintenance projects as needed.
Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency service.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including completion of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
High school diploma or GED required.
HVAC Technical Certificate, Trade School Diploma, or State HVAC License preferred.
EPA Universal Certification required.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
3+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience preferred.
Experience servicing commercial HVAC systems, including:
AHUs
RTUs
Heat Pumps
VAV Systems
DDC Controls
Ventilation Equipment
Experience with chillers, boilers, or commercial kitchen equipment is a plus.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Lift up to 50 pounds.

Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
