Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled, versatile Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Welder to join our team in a direct-hire capacity. This position is ideal for a hands-on tradesperson who is a strong welder and can also step into a variety of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and general industrial maintenance responsibilities as needed.

The successful candidate will serve as our primary welder, performing welding and fabrication work on stainless steel and carbon steel while supporting production line maintenance, plumbing repairs and installations, HVAC work, and basic electrical tasks. We are looking for a dependable, adaptable individual who takes initiative, works through problems, and is comfortable shifting between different trades to keep operations running efficiently.

A practical, can-do attitude is essential. This is an opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can be counted on to handle whatever the job requires.

Key Responsibilities

Welding and Fabrication

  • Perform high-quality welding on stainless steel and carbon steel components.

  • Complete welding, repair, modification, and fabrication work to meet operational and quality requirements.

  • Interpret measurements, drawings, and job specifications to complete work accurately.

  • Successfully complete an in-house welding test at the employer’s facility.

  • Maintain safe welding practices and keep work areas organized.

Industrial Maintenance and Mechanical Work

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production line equipment and associated mechanical systems.

  • Assist with equipment installations, component replacements, adjustments, and preventative maintenance.

  • Identify mechanical issues and help minimize equipment downtime.

  • Perform general facility maintenance and repairs as operational needs arise.

Plumbing

  • Assist with plumbing installations, repairs, piping, fittings, and related mechanical systems.

  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and support facility and production-related plumbing needs.

HVAC and Sheet Metal

  • Assist with HVAC installations, including hands-on ductwork installation.

  • Help position, set, and install large commercial or industrial rooftop units.

  • Support mechanical installation work and related equipment connections as needed.

Basic Electrical and General Trades

  • Assist with basic electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the individual’s qualifications.

  • Support other facility, equipment, and construction-related projects as required.

  • Safely operate tools and equipment associated with assigned tasks.

  • Work collaboratively with the team while demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven welding experience, particularly with stainless steel and carbon steel.

  • Ability to successfully pass an in-house welding test.

  • Industrial maintenance or mechanical repair experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of plumbing, piping, or mechanical systems.

  • Experience assisting with HVAC installations, ductwork, or rooftop unit setting is a plus.

  • Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing operational needs.

  • Reliable work history, strong attendance, and a commitment to workplace safety.

  • Willingness to perform a variety of skilled trades tasks rather than work exclusively in one specialty.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $40–$45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

  • Employment Type: Direct hire with the employer.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance: Available on Day 1.
