We are seeking Millwrights/Industrial Mechanics, and mechanically skilled tradespeople to join their team through a temp-to-hire opportunity. We are actively reviewing candidates and can bring qualified individuals on to start asap.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, stays productive throughout the day, and works well as part of a team. Strong work ethic is one of the most important qualities Performance Installations looks for in a candidate.
Job Responsibilities
- Install and assemble industrial equipment and machinery
- Build and install metal mezzanines and structural components
- Install commercial and industrial doors and door frames
- Install industrial curtains and barriers
- Install railings, platforms, guards, and related equipment
- Perform mechanical installation, assembly, alignment, and general millwright work
- Read and work from basic drawings, layouts, and installation plans
- Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed
- Work as part of a team to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Millwright, industrial mechanic, conveyor mechanic, or similar mechanical experience preferred
- TIG and Stick welding experience strongly preferred
- MIG welding experience is helpful but less critical
- Welding certifications are a plus
- Controls and low-voltage electrical experience is a plus
- Experience with industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or new construction environments
- Ability to read drawings, layouts, and schematics is helpful
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Recent trade school/CTC graduates are encouraged to apply. We are willing to train the right entry-level candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, mechanical ability, dependable attendance, and the ability to drive and travel. Entry-level candidates may start at a lower rate based on experience.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Employees are expected to stay productive, work hard, follow directions, and contribute to the team. Work ethic is extremely important to Performance Installations.
Schedule & Travel
- Monday–Friday
- Typical hours: 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Occasional weekend work
- Some travel may be required
- Must be willing and able to travel as project needs require
- Employees are dispatched from the Dayton office each morning
- Candidates must be local to the Dayton, OH area
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- 10-panel drug test required
- Background check required
- Must meet customer/site access requirements, including work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and other government facilities
- No felony convictions or violent offenses
- DUI must be 7+ years old
- Driver's license must have fewer than 6 points
- Must be dependable and able to work the required schedule
- Must be willing to travel and work occasional weekends
Pay
$22–$28 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

This position is being offered through a temp-to-hire model. Performance Installations is growing and does not have a fixed number of positions they need to fill.
