Schedule: 58 hours a week, Monday–Saturday, off Sundays
Compensation
Millwright Mechanics: $30/hour
Per Diem: $100/day
Travel Pay: $100 going in + $100 returning home
JOB OVERVIEW
We are hiring 3 Millwright Mechanics for a short-term industrial machinery installation project in New Knoxville, Ohio.
The equipment was manufactured and quality-checked in Italy, then disassembled and shipped to the United States. Our crew will be responsible for reassembling and installing the machinery at the New Knoxville facility.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of the first U.S. installation of this equipment. A small team of internal Tecnofirma personnel will be onsite to provide oversight and technical support.
The installation is expected to be relatively straightforward for experienced industrial mechanics. Candidates with backgrounds in conveyor installation, industrial machinery installation, millwright work, should be well suited for the project.
MILLWRIGHT MECHANIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reassemble industrial machinery that was disassembled for transportation.
- Install and align mechanical components according to drawings, instructions, and field direction.
- Assemble equipment, guards, supports, conveyors, and related machinery components.
- Use hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly.
- Assist with equipment positioning, fitting, alignment, and adjustments.
- Perform general millwright and industrial mechanical installation duties as needed.
- Work closely with Tecnofirma personnel and other members of the installation crew.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout the installation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience with industrial machinery, conveyors, millwright work, or industrial electrical installation.
- Ability to read and follow equipment drawings, instructions, and installation information.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work as part of an installation crew.
- Metric tools are required due to the Italian-manufactured equipment.
- Reliable transportation to the jobsite.
- Must be able to work the full project schedule.
- No specific certifications required.
- No drug testing required.
REQUIRED TOOLS
Candidates should have their own basic tools, including:
- Flex angle grinder
- Drill
- Screwdrivers
- Allen keys
- Metric hand tools
- Similar standard mechanical/electrical installation tools
PPE
Standard industrial PPE required:
- Steel-toe boots
- High-visibility vest
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection
