Position Overview
Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring a Non-Working Foreman to oversee the HVAC install at a skilled nursing facility being built in Cuyahoga Falls. This is for locals only, no per diem available. Will be responsible for overseeing daily field operations and supervising a crew of up to 10 workers.
The ideal candidate has hands-on construction experience and understands how to keep crews productive, organized, and working safely. HVAC experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should be familiar with new construction, hotel construction, and multi-family projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate a crew of up to 10 employees
- Direct daily work activities and ensure crews stay on schedule
- Read and understand construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with project management, contractors, and other trades
- Monitor jobsite productivity, quality, and workmanship
- Ensure workers follow company and jobsite safety procedures
- Conduct daily jobsite checks and address safety concerns
- Assist with material coordination, staging, and manpower planning
- Communicate project needs, delays, and issues to management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
- Help resolve field issues and keep work progressing efficiently
- Ensure employees have the proper tools and PPE
- Perform other supervisory and construction-related duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous commercial construction foreman experience
- Experience supervising crews of up to 10 workers
- New construction experience required
- Experience with hotel and/or multi-family construction preferred
- HVAC background preferred, but not required
- Ability to read plans and understand construction sequencing
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to report to jobsites consistently
- Must pass a background check
- Must be able to work safely in an active construction environment
