Pay Rate: $42/hour
Per Diem: $178-$307/day (based on location)
Travel: Mileage reimbursed at $0.70/mile (if driving personal vehicle). Flight/rental vehicle paid for or reimbursed. Gas reimbursed with receipts.
Position Overview
Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an OE Representative / Site Manager to oversee an IXD Inbound Modification installation in Amazons.
This role will act as the on-site representative for Amazon, responsible for coordinating contractors, managing project communication, and ensuring the successful execution of an inbound system modification installation.
The individual in this role must be a strong communicator and project leader who can confidently run meetings, manage project documentation, and maintain continuous communication between all project stakeholders.
This position operates more like a project leadership role rather than a standard hourly position. The selected candidate must take ownership of the project and ensure it remains on schedule and fully documented.
The Site Manager will oversee contractors performing an IXD Inbound Modification installation, including:
MAT system installation
Flex conveyor installation
Cascading belt conveyor installation
The OE Representative will coordinate and manage three separate contractor teams performing installation work on behalf of Amazon.
Serve as the Amazon representative overseeing contractor installation work
Coordinate three contractor teams performing system modifications
Lead daily coordination meetings with contractors and stakeholders
Maintain clear communication between contractors, Amazon teams, and project leadership
Prepare and submit daily progress reports and weekly status reports
Track materials being shipped to the site and manage inventory updates
Document and manage all change orders and schedule adjustments
Monitor project timelines and ensure installation remains on schedule
Identify potential issues and proactively resolve them
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
Support project execution through strong leadership and coordination
Must have previous experience as a Project Manager, Site Manager, or Field Supervisor on a conveyor install
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to lead meetings and coordinate multiple contractor teams
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excel
Word
Microsoft Teams
Comfortable using digital tools and project management systems
Ability to manage projects independently and take full ownership of outcomes
Experience managing industrial installation projects
Previous experience on Amazon facilities (Site Manager or Project Manager)
Familiarity with Amazon’s RME (Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering) program
Experience with material handling or conveyor systems
Conveyor experience is not required if the candidate has strong project management and coordination experience.
This role requires a professional who is willing to take full responsibility for project success.
The Site Manager must:
Be available to respond to urgent project issues when they arise
Communicate effectively with contractors and stakeholders
Maintain consistent documentation and reporting
Ensure the project stays on schedule and meets quality expectations
This is not a typical “clock in and clock out” role. The successful candidate will manage their schedule to ensure the project is successful.
