About the Role

Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for overall project delivery, including schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

The Senior Project Manager will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, and serve as the primary liaison between clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. This position requires strong leadership, advanced construction knowledge, and the ability to manage complex project environments while ensuring successful outcomes.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience managing commercial and industrial construction projects
  • Proven ability to deliver large-scale projects on time and within budget
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, safety standards, and building codes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in project management software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional certifications (PMP, CCM, LEED, or equivalent)
  • Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and green building standards
  • Experience with projects involving complex regulatory or environmental requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for commercial and industrial projects
  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, subcontractors, and field personnel
  • Oversee project execution to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget objectives
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues in a timely manner
  • Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining clear communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards
  • Prepare and present regular project status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage procurement processes and negotiate contracts to support cost efficiency and project success
  • Coordinate subcontractor performance and vendor relationships
  • Drive process improvements to enhance project delivery, efficiency, and team performance
